    Fonctions Logarithme et Exponentielle

Niveau : 1ère Année Bac Sciences Expérimentales (BIOF)

    I. Fonction Logarithme Népérien (\(\ln\))

    La fonction logarithme népérien, notée \( \ln \), est la primitive de la fonction \( x \mapsto \frac{1}{x} \) sur \( ]0, +\infty[ \) qui s'annule en 1.

    1. Propriétés fondamentales

    • Domaine de définition : \( D_f = ]0, +\infty[ \)
    • \( \ln(1) = 0 \) et \( \ln(e) = 1 \) (où \( e \approx 2,718 \))
    • Pour tous \( a, b > 0 \) : \[ \ln(a \times b) = \ln(a) + \ln(b) \] \[ \ln\left(\frac{a}{b}\right) = \ln(a) - \ln(b) \] \[ \ln(a^n) = n \ln(a) \]

    2. Limites usuelles

    \[ \lim_{x \to +\infty} \ln(x) = +\infty \quad ; \quad \lim_{x \to 0^+} \ln(x) = -\infty \] \[ \lim_{x \to +\infty} \frac{\ln(x)}{x} = 0 \quad ; \quad \lim_{x \to 1} \frac{\ln(x)}{x-1} = 1 \]

    II. Fonction Exponentielle (\(e^x\))

    La fonction exponentielle est la fonction réciproque de la fonction \( \ln \). Elle est notée \( \exp \) ou \( x \mapsto e^x \).

    1. Propriétés algébriques

    • Domaine de définition : \( D_f = \mathbb{R} \)
    • Pour tout \( x \in \mathbb{R} \), \( e^x > 0 \)
    • Propriétés : \[ e^{a+b} = e^a \times e^b \] \[ e^{a-b} = \frac{e^a}{e^b} \] \[ (e^a)^n = e^{n \cdot a} \]

    2. Dérivée et Limites

    La fonction exponentielle est sa propre dérivée : \( (e^x)' = e^x \).

    \[ \lim_{x \to +\infty} e^x = +\infty \quad ; \quad \lim_{x \to -\infty} e^x = 0 \] \[ \lim_{x \to +\infty} \frac{e^x}{x} = +\infty \quad ; \quad \lim_{x \to 0} \frac{e^x - 1}{x} = 1 \]

    📝 Exercice d'application :

    Résoudre dans \( \mathbb{R} \) l'équation suivante :

    \( e^{2x} - 3e^x + 2 = 0 \)

    Indication :
    Poser le changement de variable \( X = e^x \) (avec \( X > 0 \)). L'équation devient :
    \[ X^2 - 3X + 2 = 0 \] Les racines sont \( X_1 = 1 \) et \( X_2 = 2 \).
    On revient à \( x \) :
    \( e^x = 1 \implies x = 0 \)
    \( e^x = 2 \implies x = \ln(2) \)
    Les solutions sont \( S = \{0, \ln(2)\} \).
